Background on the Wyre Forest

The Wyre Forest is full of interesting people. People with different skills which we can all learn from. Skills we love to share with each other.

As we progress towards the future it will become increasingly important to share our skills via digital media - like this website - in order to maintain them for posterity.

What we record now digitally will have the value to future generations that the information our ancestors recorded on paper has had for us.

This is increasingly important as we progress towards a Low Carbon Economy. We simply cannot afford to let traitional, sustainable skills and our local environmental knowledge / understanding die out. That is why members of the Bewdley Transition Group are already supporting this intiative.

Further, the very act of recording information about your skills and knowledge often has the effect of consolidating those skills and knowledge for you. The act of recording in itself is a growing and self-confirming practice.
